Yes, but seriously...
2.6 billion people – that's 40% of the world's population – don’t have somewhere safe, clean and hygienic to go to the loo. The good news is, you can help change that by twinning your toilet!
For people in poor communities, a hole in the ground is quite literally a life saver – protecting women from the risk of attack as they find somewhere private to squat, and shielding children from preventable diarrhoeal diseases. By twinning a toilet you'll be helping those who most need it access safe sanitation, clean water and hygiene education.

After musing on that, I don't think I'll every grumble about Greenbelt Festival toilets ever again! A photo of a Burundian latrine is now adorning the Greenpatch cloakroom.
I didn't quite know what category to post this entry under. I ended up plumping on 'lifestyle,' not without a touch of irony, given that for (to most of us here) such a piddling (no pun intended), amount can make such a difference.
That's a great idea!
I don't know about anyone else but I like the idea of seeing where the money I've given has actually gone. And a bit of humour doesn't hurt either does it?

Exactly! Thanks for taking the time to comment as well. Your blog looks interesting. I'll link to it in mine, if that's ok with you.
